You are Pinballman and you like in a virtual world. After a Pinballmachine dies, everything goes to this world and is virtual. There is also the fact that Pinballman has 3d data, but is 2d. You find some confusing stuff like that in the game. Atariman is 2d, no 3d info. This is how Pinballman can't get past 2d barriers or 3d barriers in the game.
